"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights" (Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948).
We are seriously concerned by the threat to our human rights and continued existence by developments in human genetics research and practice. This is not eased by the fact that we have to fight to have our voice heard in the ethical and scientific debates, as we are often considered to be passive subjects.
1 October was DDA day, when shops and businesses should have considered making "reasonable adjustments" to their buildings to make them accessible to disabled people.
